Technical Sales Managers Jobs in Kenya - Construction Chemicals Supplier

Our Client, a leading supplier in Construction Chemicals based in Nairobi, is expanding and looking for a competent and suitably qualified Technical Sales Manager x2
Job Purpose: Front-line contact between the company and the customer. Sales volume, profitability, market share, quality of customer base, receivables, inventory level, site consultation and technical support.
 Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed sales, profitability and collection targets. Establish a quality customer base including completion of Customer Profile Forms. Closely interact with customers, understand and identify their needs Demonstrate products on site to customers and establish their suitability to customer’s needs. Identify, well in advance, upcoming projects. Convey customer feedback to appropriate levels of management, especially feedback of technical nature. Identify, well in advance, upcoming projects. To adhere the prescribed procedures for appointment including completion of Credit Application Form where necessary. Ensure satisfactory level of before, during and after sales service. Attend promptly to customer complaints and provide satisfactory solutions. Clearly understand and adhere to the warranty policy. Closely interact with consultants and contractors for Specification Selling, Technical & Innovative Solutions and Problem Solving.  Communicate credit period and payment terms to customers clearly. Assist with debt collection whenever so called upon. Ensure completeness of sales documentation, which will be a pre-requisite if a receivable turns doubtful and legal action is required to be taken. Initiate steps to procure products required through Central Logistics Coordinator / Local & Regional Sales Manager. Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers. Ensure submission of quality certificate / data sheets / product brochures, wherever necessary. Ensure submission of invoice and other related documents to customer without delay.  Training of applicators to properly and efficiently install, apply or use the Construction Chemicals in an effort to ensure quality and contractor profitability. Provide training to others as needed. Conduct final inspections for technical acceptance. Act as the liaison between the applicator, General contractor, consultant, architect, building owner and the company, during the installation process. Advise on progress, issues, problems, project needs. Explain clearly in writing to the customer in any event whereby final finish of product will not be attained due to any external factors. Assist with pre-job meetings, surveys, and any claim issues. Participation in job meetings with contractors, architects, building owners, applicators and consultants. Support with miscellaneous items as needed including, but not limited to, tradeshows, models, field tests etc. Provide any technical support required by the customer or contractor.  Overseeing the application process by attending job starts and performing in-progress project visits to monitor and enforce proper installation.Ensure that application is in accordance with good practices and specifications through documentation with field reports. Help to resolve installation problems and issues as they arise.  Other Principal Accountabilities:Cooperating with the Supply Chain team including Customer Service team for in-bound customer orders and the Sourcing team for out-bound orders to and from third party vendors. Establish appropriate kep performance indicators (KPIs) for on-time deliveries, order fulfilment accuracy, full-truck loading; manages these KPIs for minimum cost and maximum performance. Provide support to Sales in a variety of areas including sales forecasting, product release schedules, returns, product samples, and other special product requests. Follow all company policies and notify of any concern that may affect work area or company property.Qualifications & Experience (Competencies Required)
(BSc /BA/Dip) in Civil Engineering, Sales & Marketing Degree / Dip with experince selling similer products. Minimum of 2 years of related work experience. Ability to communicate clearly, read and write effectively; in English and swahiliBilingual Swahili / Hindi / Gujarati / Punjabi speaker- Not a must. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a good level of computer skills. MS Office Package. Ability to work in a multi-gender, multi-national work team; whilst displaying particular sensitivity towards cultural and ethnic differences. Excellent planning, analytical and organisational skills.
