Job Purpose:Responsible for supervising insurance operations within Midland Hauliers Ltd, manages insurance adjusters, investigators, and appraisers. Ensures claims are processed in a timely manner and resolves issues that arise during process.
Sets the strategic risk management vision and is charged with delivering that strategy to the company.
To provide technical support and enhance super service delivery be effecting cost reduction measure through risk reduction and claims documentation with the internal and external customers.
Main Responsibilities:
Insuring of New Assets & LiabilitiesRenewal of Insurance Policies and negotiation of Terms and RatesQuantification of ClaimsAttending to New Claims with Insurance Loss AdjustersFollow up with Insurers Loss Adjusters and Insurers on outstanding claimsPreparing Monthly Marine import/ Export ReportPreparing Monthly General Claims ReportPrepare Monthly Management ReportReconciliation of Insurance Premium accountRepresents the Department at Management MeetingsFacilitation of payment of Advance Tax for Commercial VehiclesFacilitation of Inspection reports for Commercial VehiclesOther reports as required by ManagementBachelor of Commerce in Insurance/Business related degree / Diploma In InsuranceAt least 5 years experience in the insurance sector with at least 2 years at a managerial levelProfessional Qualifications – COP, CCI, AIIK etcWork with minimal supervision.Able to work under pressureAble to work across the functions or departmentsHonestEffective communication skillsTime management skillTo apply for this position send your CV to mycv@myjobseye.com quoting the position in the subject line. Kindly also mention your current/ last salary and benefits. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
