Job
Title: Resilience
Programme Manager – Somalia
Location: Nairobi with regular travel to Mogadishu
and Hargeisa
Duration: Two (2) Years
Job
Summary: The
incumbent will be responsible for the Resilience Programme – Building Resilient
Communities in Somalia (BRCiS) as part of larger consortium led by NRC as well
as some components of the Mogadishu Integrated Development Programme
(MODEL).
S/he
will be responsible for representation of Concern in the Technical Working
Group of the consortium and for the overall management of Concern’s component
of the programme in addition to overseeing the implementation of the FIM and
WASH components of the Mogadishu Integrated Programme, as well as ensuring
links with, and where necessary, contributing to, the Somalia/Somaliland
Programme’s work on resilience.
- A
degree in food security, natural resource management, public health,
nutrition or related field - At
least five years’ experience in humanitarian aid in complex and/or
insecure environments preferably in East/Horn of Africa - Knowledge
& experience of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change
Adaptation (CCA) theory and practice of Resilience and Resilience
programming

Summary: The
incumbent will ensure that Concern Kenya has a robust, compliant and integrated
system that effectively and efficiently delivers support services to enable
programmatic objectives to be achieved.
This
will entail management of the following departments; Finance, Human Resources,
Administration, Logistics including transport and IT.
The
Systems Director will be a member of the Kenya Senior Management Team and will
contribute to the implementation of the Country Strategic Plan, its growth and
development.
- A
masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Operations Management,
HR, Administration or related field - At
least seven years’ experience in a senior operations management and
leadership role managing operations specialists teams in Finance,
HR/Administration and Logistics. - Proven
competence in resource planning, budget management, donor grants
compliance requirements, tendering and contract management
