Members
of County Policing Authority
Pursuant
to section 41(1) and (2) of the National Police Service Act 2011, the County
Public Service
Board of Isiolo wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to serve as
members in the County
Policing Authority.
The Board therefore invites applications from the categories listed
below.
The
applicants shall be persons ordinarily residents in the county.
Members
appointed shall serve for a term of two years and shall be eligible for one
further term.

4. Religious
organization
The functions of the Authority shall be to:
- Develop
proposal on priorities, objective and targets for police performance in
the county. - Monitor
trends and patterns of crime in the county including those with specific
impact on the women and children. - Promote
community policing initiatives in the county. - Monitor
progress and achievements of set targets. - Provide
financial oversight of the budget of the county police. - Provide
feedback on performance of the police service at the county level. - Provide
a platform through which the public participate on all aspects to do with
county policy and the national police service at the county policing
policy. - Ensure
policing accountability to the public. - Receive
reports from community policing forums and committees; and - Ensure
compliance with the national policing standards.
Requirements for appointment:
A
person shall not be qualified for appointment as a member, if that person;
- Has
violated the constitution; - Is
adjudged bankrupt; - Is
not of good character or moral standing; - Has
been convicted of a felony or - Has
not been a resident or employed in the county for a continuous period of
not less than three years.
Note: Candidates
should bring with them the following.
- Original
ID Card. - Original
KCSE certificate and - Any
other document. - Only
candidates with KCSE and above should report.

clearly marked on the left side, the category in which they fall and addressed
