Job
Title: Accounts
Assistant / Cashier
Role
Purpose: Responsible
for receiving and banking cash receipts from customers, printing cheques for
approved disbursements and acting as the Corporation’s bank agent.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurate
receipting and banking cash and cheques. - Printing
cheques for all approved payments. - Collecting
and delivering all bank mails and correspondences. - Preparing
cash payment vouchers. - Timely
requisitioning for cheque books from the bank and safe custody of the same
and other cash related documents. - Follow
up of all cash advances. - Preparing
daily receipts and payment summaries. - Dispatching
all issued cheques to beneficiaries in line with relevant policies.
- CPA
II. - At
least three (3) years working experience in a Financial Institution.
- person
of high integrity, transparency and accountability. - Possess
good communication and customer service skills. - Be
able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
Investment Officer / Analyst
Role Purpose: To identify and evaluate Investment proposals for
ICDC.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To develop a deal pipeline for the Corporation
in the chosen sectors of focus for investment purposes - To vet and appraise investment proposals for
funding. - To assess and report all risks or problems
relating to projects under appraisal. - Promote sound risk management and ethical
standards. - To ensure continuous improvement of the
quality and value of services provided to ICDC’s customers. - Ensure that investments are made within
stipulated Policy guidelines and established approval levels. - To closely monitor projects implementation to
successful completion and provide project update reports periodically. - Prepare periodic portfolio analysis reports to
management and the Board as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field
from a recognized University - Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Certified
Public Accountant CPA (K) or ACCA (UK) qualifications will be an added
advantage. - At least four (4) years’ relevant experience,
of which two (2) should be in a similar position in a financial
institution.
- Excellent financial modeling and report
writing skills. - Excellent business acumen

Job Title: Legal Officer
Role Purpose: To provide legal services in relation to
litigation, alternative dispute resolution, commercial law, conveyancing,
financial services, compliance, and facilitate legal debt recovery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Attend Court and Alternative Dispute
Resolution sessions to prosecute and defend cases involving the
Corporation. - Prepare and file precise and timely Court
pleadings. - Effectively manage and co-ordinate with
external lawyers, auctioneers and process servers. - Draft, review and negotiate documents for
equity, loan and other related financing arrangements. - Advise on good corporate governance practices,
monitor corporate governance frameworks and regulatory compliance. - Facilitate and oversee the repossession of
assets charged to the Corporation in the event of default. - Monitor the auction process to ensure
compliance with the law and laid down procedures. - Prepare lease and lease agreements.
- Develop, prepare and review contractual
documents. - To carry out legal due diligence on
prospective clients. - Verify, vet and issue professional undertakings
to ensure compliance thereof. - Provide legal advice to the Corporation’s
staff for informed decision making - Provide input into the budgeting process and
prepare quarterly reports - Carry out legal audits and ensure legal
compliance by various departments - Prepare quarterly reports to the Corporation
Secretary
- Bachelor of Laws, (LLB) from a recognised
University - Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a
current practicing certificate - Post Graduate Diploma in Law
- Good analytical skills
- Good business acumen and negotiation skills
- Effective communication and writing skills
- High level of integrity and accountability is
essential. - Knowledge of the business and applicable law
and constitution
- Five (5) years’ relevant experience two (2) of
which should be in a similar position in a financial institution.
