IDB Capital Limited is a State Corporation established in 1973 to facilitate the industrial development of Kenya by offering financial services to small, medium and large enterprises in diverse sectors of the economy across the country.
IDB is seeking qualified individuals to join its team of dedicated staff in the following positions:
Job Title: Strategy and Business Development Officer
Department: Strategy and Business Development
Unit / Section: Strategy and Business Development
Reporting Relationship: Managing Director
Supervisory Responsibility: Marketing Assistant
Job Purpose: The post holder will be expected to coordinate the development of Corporate Strategy, business and marketing plans and establish a framework for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of corporate performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating the development of the corporate Strategy, business plan and marketing plans.
- Development of the annual work plans for all departments drawn from the corporate plan.
- Development of the corporate performance targets, cascading of the performance targets to all departments, periodic monitoring and evaluation of performance.
- Implementation of the corporate risk management framework, handling compliance requirements and institutional reporting.
- Coordinating the activities of business development, development of business prospects and referrals and liaising with the operations department on customer care issues.
- Handle the company’s branding and media communication activities such as press releases, advertisements, marketing collaterals, and web site management.
- Analyse the current and past budgets, expenses, revenues and product deficiencies in order to provide recommendations for business growth and problem resolution.
- Provide market intelligence to support the Asset and Liability management framework of the institution.
- Undertake documentation and policy development in various areas from time to time.
- Liaise with the office of the Managing Director on provision of periodic reports as may be required from time to time.
- Carries out any other duties as assigned from time to time.
