Our client is a licensed franchisee of the SUBWAY® brand, which is the world’s largest sandwich chain with more than 37,000 locations around the world. 



They have established four restaurants in Nairobi since 2013 at the Junction Mall, Cameo, Gigiri and Thika Road Mall (TRM). They are looking to open more restaurants.

The Sandwich Artist® greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation to SUBWAY® standards, processes light paperwork and keeps all areas of the store clean at all times. 


 


Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position, with the Sandwich Artist® responsible for making every customer feel welcome every time they visit.
 



We are looking for individuals who have a positive outlook, thrive in a busy work environment and are keen to learn the art of great sandwich making. 



You will work well as part of a team, making delicious sandwiches to customer requirements.




THIS IS AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION.
 



Successful candidates MUST meet the following criteria:


  • Qualification in hospitality-related course from a reputable college.

  • A cheerful and helpful personality with strong commitment to excellence in customer service

  • Professional appearance and grooming

  • Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions

  • Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register – MUST BE COMPUTER LITERATE; able to use laptop / desktop

  • Physical fitness as the position requires lifting items, bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must be able to lift 5kg frequently and up to 15kg occasionally
