The Guest Experience host is overall responsible for coordinating and ensuring that guests receive a quality experience while hosted at Segera

Performance Areas:

Be responsible for the hosting of guests for the duration of their stay Preparation for arrival of guests, coordinating and reconfirming times and logistics with reservations and communicate detail to teamsMeet-and-Greet guests upon arrival, ensuring full orientation plus introduction to the Segera Retreat offeringMeet and coordinate guest departuresSchedule guest activities in accordance with the Segera Retreat offeringCreate value added experiences on a continuous basis for all guestsIf need be assist in F&B service, record meal orders from guests and ensure prompt deliveriesRecord SPA bookings and schedule welcome treatment for guestsHost guests whenever they are in the main area by meeting them in the respective areasLiaise with the Housekeeping  and Food & Beverage department for planning of events such as picnics, birthdays, special venue experiencesManage children’s activities in accordance with the Segera Retreat offeringAssist with sales and cleaning in the retail store, including necessary administration duties (stock takes etc)Manage the switchboard and night phone when requiredCommunication via phone and radio with all departments regarding guest movements, meal orders, activities, maintenance or personal requestsEnsuring that all guest related issues are communicated to respective departments in detailEnsure proper follow-up on guest requirements and complaints are addressedMaintain the appearance and work standards defined in the service offering on SegeraAttend daily early morning brief as scheduledEnsure and coordinate with reservations that the next day’s planner is completed with full details of all guest activities which are to be communicated in the morning briefSubmit a guest report for every guest after departure to the Operations Manager and Tourism ManagerMaintain guest history, experience forms, daily planner Assisting Operations Manager with the management of housekeeping (laundry/guest area and villa housekeeping)Good communication skills, oral, verbal and written  EnglishAnalyticHave good judgmentIntegrityService orientatedAttention to detailGood planner with organizational skillsTechnical and Professional knowledge proficiencyProfessionalFollow up and takes initiativeKeyboard skillsAdaptabilityHigh work standards and ethicsConfidentA team playerFlexible and solution drivenFocused ResponsibleSelf driven and motivatedMatureHumble - not arrogant / over confidentPride in self and assets Minimum Requirements & QualificationsAt least 1 year work experience in guest relations department or in a related field preferably in tourist camps, lodges, conservancies etc.Be able to work un supervised and meet set deadlinesGood communication skillsComputer literacy essential.Be methodical and ensure operating procedures are enforced and followed.Well organized and focused on service delivery If you are the person we are looking for kindly send your CV and application letter clearly indicating ‘Store Keeper ‘on the subject line to hrsegera@segera.com by 13th November, 2013.
