Our client, East Africa’s leading manufacturers and distributors of agricultural, forestry, mining, construction and commercial transport equipment seeks to recruit a Field Sales Manager who has past experience selling Plant Equipment and Machinery

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Influencing customers to buy products by following a prepared sales talk to give product information and price quotations.Undertaking reports on market research, determining brand strengths and weaknesses, track competitive activity and pricing, lost sales.Preparing reports on marketing activities and sales performance as required by the General Manager Sales as well as by suppliers in the format they require.Ensuring all marketing opportunities is effectively translated into sales.Acting as a direct contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.Preparing proposals and quotations to customers.Gaining clear understanding of the customer’s requirements.Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results according to the company policies.Developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet the agreed company objectives.Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.Monitoring and analyzing market trends.Building market position of the company by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing business relationships with clients.Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.Professional Skills and Competencies Bachelors of Sales and Marketing, Mechanical Engineering or any Business related field.
