At the moment we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our enthusiastic team as Maitre’D in our Staff Restaurants.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

Work within the established Human Resources department budget and controls colleague restaurant food costs.

Supervises the function and operations of all staff restaurant steward staffs, facilities and costs.Establishes and maintains effective employee relations and builds team work in all levels of staff.Controls on daily basis quality and service, sanitary cleanliness hygiene, operating costs and employees’ satisfaction.Ensures that employees who are on duty are always at their place of work.Establishes and maintains systems and methods to ensure timely mis-en-place, minimises costs through breakages and appropriate use of detergents.Attends and contributes to the Human Resources monthly meetings.Keeps up to date records which include:CostsBreakagePar stockEnsures that no unauthorised persons take meals in the dining rooms.Develops and implements daily and month end food cost report on the cafeteria.Identifies and schedules preventative maintenance works in the cafeteria and co-ordinates with Engineering Department.Ensures all lockable equipment i.e. cutlery, chinaware, food products not in use are securely locked.Ensures the cafeteria is locked when not in use.On daily basis ensures that all hotel employees follow the meal timetable.Ensures all employees record their names before taking mealsEnsures recreational facilities are secure and monitors closely to ensure they are only used during off times.Ensures that no unauthorised person(s) and/or property are allowed in the restaurant.Maintains professional and technical competence.Maintains a steady flow of communication on matters affecting the employees dining facilities by following up on all pending repairs and making a report to Assistant Human Resources Manager.Attends training sessions as and when requested to.Performs related duties as assigned.

Ideally, you’ll have some or all of the following qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

Minimum one year in a similar role in a five star propertyProficiency in speaking and writing EnglishAbility to work independently and within a team environmentExcellent communication skills
