Purpose of the Position
IT Specialist, managing the ICT function for the field office, is accountable for the timely delivery and ongoing support of reliable, secure and cost effective information and communications technology systems, administration and technical support to enable the efficient flow of information and the reliable performance of all corporate systems applications in support of UNICEF programme, communication and operations, to contribute to the achievement of the established goals, objectives, budgets, and work plans consistent with priority needs and requirements of the Office.

Advanced university degree or equivalent background, in computer science, information systems, or other relevant disciplines, with specialized training or appropriate experience in the fields broadly applicable to the job.
*A first university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced university degree.
Work Experience
Professional work experience Five years of relevant professional work experience in ICT area. Developing country work experience (for IP) or field work experience (for NO).Background/familiarity with Emergency.Language
Fluency in English and another UN language (IP).
Fluency in English and local working language of the duty station (NO).
In the case of Guinea, French is a requirement.
Additional language(s) an asset.
