Human Resources Manager
Main purpose of the job: Providing effective administrative and operational support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance management and employee grievance and disciplinary handling, counseling etc to ensure optimal contribution of HR to the organisation.
Duties and responsibilitiesProviding advice and assistance to supervisors and staff in all HR related issues.Coordinating staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.Ensuring new employees are properly inducted in the organisation through preparation and facilitation of the orientation program.Ensuring the new employees submit completely the necessary personal documents for employee records/files.Ensuring that accurate job descriptions are in place as well as providing advice and assistance in writing the JDs.Coordinating with the Management and HODs in ensuring the employee performance appraisals are scheduled and done.Monitor staff performance and attendance activities through monitoring attendance, staff absences and recommending solutions to solve attendance difficulties.Leave Management – ensuring leave is taken and records well kept.Providing information and assistance to staff, supervisors and Management on human resource and work related issuesProvide basic counseling to staff that have performance related obstacles.Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures;Ensuring that all employees and managers are aware of HR policies and procedures and any periodic changes thereof.Ensuring that all required information and records relating to employees are well and safelyEnsuring that Managers receive accurate and timely guidance in response to specific queries about HR Polices and aspects of the Employment laws.Providing employees with guidance and support on all HR related issues.Providing information and assistance to staff and management on employee welfare and other related areasImplementing employee’s welfare programs including per diems and staff medical scheme administration to maintain motivation and staff well beingEnsuring health and safety standards are adhered toMaintaining and managing accurate human resource records by updating the employees data bank, filling and keeping all employee’s documents in their respective files and opening files for new employeesManaging and monitoring the processes of payroll while ensuring adherence to the statutory requirements internal journal returns and other related mandatory requirementsFacilitating sourcing of Trainers, Venues and other requirements when need arises.Facilitating availability of training materials and participants for coordinated training programsCommunicating and facilitating attendance to the trainingEnsuring training evaluation is done.Facilitate on the Job transfer of knowledgeBusiness Related DegreeDiploma in Human Resources ManagementMinimum Four (4) Years working experience in a busy environment with strong bias in HR and Admin.How to Apply
