Our client, an International company that specializes in Engineering & Construction, Aviation & Logistics seeks to recruit a Structural Design Engineer.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Carry out Structural & Civil Engineering Analysis & Calculations.Review Designs & For Construction Drawings.Carry out low level Quantity Surveying.Provide Civil and Structural Engineering Advice to Project and Site Managers.Supervise structural steel erection with site engineers to ensure design specifications are met.Aid in the preparation of bid packages and specifications for sub-contractors.Prepare and aid in the preparation of design and shop drawings for approval by client

Professional Skills and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.Minimum 7 years of experience working in all engineering Areas: structural engineering, construction management, land development, earth moving, surveying, etc. Strong experience with:Structural steel (ASCI), Reinforced concrete (ACI ), Concrete masonry and foundation systems; Finite element analysis software; Prior work experience in an industrial consulting engineering firm. Comfortable in a highly entrepreneurial and continuously changing environment.Excellent written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills. Track record of interacting effectively and collaboratively with a broad range of government, private sector, and civil society counterparts. Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred. Professional proficiency in English.
