Our client, an International company that specializes in Engineering & Construction, Aviation & Logistics seeks to recruit an Engineering Coordinator.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Carry out Electrical Engineering Analysis & Produce CalculationsDevelop designs from project specifications.Check and evaluate design and material specifications for tender.Review Electrical Designs & For Construction DrawingsIncorporate feedback from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases.Carry out low level Quantity Surveying for BOM productionProvide Electrical Engineering Advice to Project and Site ManagersDesigning of power distribution systems including associated load, fault current and voltage drop calculations.Carrying out design reviews at appropriate intervals during the design process with the Lead Engineer.Responding to site RFIs, conducting reviews of specialist suppliers or contractor prepared designs, and attending site meetings to resolve construction issues.In-depth knowledge of local electrical regulations, international design standards and codes of practice; as well as a basic knowledge of local and international building codes, and structural / architectural industry practices.Professional Skills and Competencies Electrical Engineering Degree RequiredPossess Chartered or Professional Engineer statusMust be competent in working to both UK (17th Edition) and US (NEC) codes with either a current Charter or Professional Engineer (PE) status.Minimum 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer preferably in multiple disciplinesProfessional registration with a relevant international engineering body such as IEE, IEEE or equivalent is required.Good verbal and written English skillsMust be able to work independentlyComputer Skills (CAD Design Skills, MS Office Experience & Experience working with Engineering Design Software is deemed an advantage)Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines Travel within African continent as and when needed for proposal management and Business Development purposes.To apply, send your CV only to cvs@flexi-personnel.com before Friday, 20th June 2014.
