Reporting to the Executive Director, the Head of Business Advisory Services will lead the ongoing development and implementation of a range of business advisory  and consulting services; assessing and defining clients’ business needs; designing and implementing sustainable and practical business solutions from strategy formulation to implementation and the monitoring thereof; designing and implementing business advisory toolkits of business best practice techniques, processesand skills to solve client challenges, monitoring  client development with the aim of maximizing the growth and adoption of business best practices by the banks clients.
Preference will be given to candidates who have senior management experience in managing and leading advisory/consulting services across a variety of business areas (see list below as indication but not limited to)Business Strategy: Strategy development; business transformation; productivity and resource maximization; goal setting and execution; change management; problem solving tools and techniquesBranding/Marketing: Brand development, growth and management; marketing strategies (e.g. market sizing, segmentation and go-to market approach); market research; sales techniques and teammanagement; customer experience improvement; competitor  analysis; product development and launch; promotionsBusiness Operations management: A practical understanding and experience of business operations management such as technical project management; total quality management; stock and stores management, vehicle / logistics management,  lean/six sigma implementation; ISO 9001 program, project and process improvement; systems dynamics; ICT methods and solutions, kaizen methods and other methodologies; information/enterprise management; business process re-engineering and implementationFinancial management: Financial statement analysis; financial diagnosis and planning; cash flow management; accounting; financial reporting; forecasting; cost-benefit analysis; risk management; CPA and CFA certifications advantageousHuman Resource Management: Talent identification, recruitment and retention strategies; HR audits and GAP analysis; employee incentive schemes; organizational restructuring and development; hands on people management, HR policy development and implementation; CIPD or HR Management certifications advantageousDevelops and communicates vision and expectation levels to team members and other stakeholdersEmpowers, coaches, mentors and retains qualified staff that contributes to the unit and company goalsIntegrates and coordinates the work of different business advisory units and teams to ensure the highest consistent quality performance through market feedback , training and developmentConsultatively identifies specific client  requirements and develops appropriate, practical and effective solutions with recommendations for the client organizationsUndertakes research, analysis  and interprets data and statistics to deepen understanding of various industries, markets , competitors, and business challengesIdentifies,  assesses and rates the positive and  negative ramifications of alternative business strategies, providing cost/benefit analysis, and laying out clear processes and steps to achieve the desired outcomesPresents and communicates material to clients through a variety of modes of communication (e.g.,  verbally, visually/pictorial and in writing),to clients with varying levels of business acumen and sophistication, particularly on business management and operational concepts and implementationProvides management and leadership to multiple teams of Business Advisors, Analysts and Project Managers and ensures that they are appropriately motivated, equipped and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required quality standardsA minimum of five years’ practical senior experiencein one or more business areas: Finance, Human Resource Management, Strategy, Branding/Marketing, Operations, Corporate Governance and Legal
