An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, one the leading and largest online Travel agencies in Africa offering a wide range of travel services.
They seek to hire a dynamic individual to fill the role of a Sales Account Manager, to lead the go-to-market strategy for tickets and products sold to travel agents.Job Purpose: To drive the go-to-market strategy for tickets and products sold to travel agents through the proprietary B2B platform. To deliver on aggressive sales target in Kenya and new markets as they emerge.Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute an agent sign-up strategy.Manage and execute the entire sales funnel for agent sign ups including:Generating quality leadsContacting leads through cold calls and personal visits.Guiding leads through the funnel so as to ensure high conversion.Build and maintain strong relationships with these new customersDriving agents to actively use neXt platform.Delivering on aggressive sales targetsIdentifying new potential marketsNon-IATA agenciesExisting IATA agencies that do not wish to continue operating with their IATA licensesIndependent Travel consultants (ITC’s)Independent bookersIdentifying other applications of the platform.Organize client events and attend trade shows/conventions to promote the product. Co-ownership of business plan and strategy for product rollout in existing markets and newly identified markets. Working with Country Manager to develop market specific revenue-sharing models.Working with Country Manager to draft service level agreements. Proven sales track record, ability to source leads and secure new business opportunities.University degree in Business, Marketing or any other related field.5 to 7 years’ sales experience.At least 2 years experience in sales management.Experience with travel technology a bonus – preferably Amadeus Previous airline experience a plus.Excellent marketing, presentation, exceptional networking and relationship building skillsEntrepreneur at heart.Highly organized and deadlines driven.Gets the job done by any means necessary and ability to meet key targets.Takes complete ownership over one’s role: able to take initiative and work alone for long periods without guidance.Basic IT understanding (product testing is required from time to time)Excellent written and verbal skillsProficient at Excel, Word and PowerPointSelf-motivated to meet targets at all costs.Excellent and persuasive communicator.Adaptable: Copes well with change.Teachable mind set: takes feedback well and follows direction.
