Org. Setting and Reporting

The Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) is an independent office reporting to the
Secretary-General and the General Assembly. The Investigations Division follows up on reports of possible violations of rules or regulations, mismanagement, misconduct, waste of resources or abuse of authority. The incumbent will report to the Chief of Section at the headquarters office of the Investigations Division located in Nairobi, Kenya.

Education

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in investigation, law, police studies, digital forensics, computer science, information technology, information security, computer engineering or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Work Experience

A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in conducting digital forensic investigations. Experience in providing expert consultations or testimony for Tribunals or Court on digital forensic matters is required. Experience in conducting peer reviews of forensic analysis reports is required. Experience with forensic analysis of mobile devices is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of other official United Nations language is an advantage.
