Our client, a leading International Information Technology Business Solutions Agency, is seeking to recruit a strategic business savvy employee for a Product Owner Role. The ideal candidate will work with variety of stakeholders including, NGOs, Government Healthcare agencies, Pharmaceutical and Private Healthcare firms to rollout innovative services that address world healthcare access and support. We are specifically looking for a person with lots of connections in the Health System in Kenya and able to navigate the system and get things done.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Building the relationships within the eco-system of the programme: partnerships with pharmaceutical companys; healthcare providers; telecommunications; financial services providers and NGOs.Drafting, negotiating and discussing possible technology and financial services vendor contracts. Identifying, designing and negotiating the deal that is set-up for executing the pilots within the framework defined.Mobilizing people and resources against clear sub-groups of activities, being accountable for delivering the business case and pilot rollout. Structuring the progression of the two services towards a sustainable future: financial / value monetization modeling; governance and servicing.Writing the business plan and evaluate with our team to decide what model to follow for long term benefit.Creating respective operational and investment plans as necessary.Qualifications and CompetencesBachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration or related field.Successful entrepreneur, ideally in the social space with some experience in running services with NGOs and health organizations. Experience working internationally with multi-disciplinary teams. Experience in setting up and managing projects in East Africa. Experience in developing and delivering services and technology-driven services; some experience in, or exposure to, the concept of agile development / iterative design. Experience in start-up / innovation environment. Has delivered or has been significant driver within a team that has delivered business projects / spin-offs / innovation projects.Experience in frugal innovation and under-structured organizations.
