Regional HR Manager – East Africa

Contract: Permanent Ref: RHRM-EA/HROD/1214Salary: Starting from £31,416 per annum (negotiable) + benefits(accommodation, education, healthcare etc)*Islamic Relief Worldwide are expanding its Human Resources function to regional HR teams to maximise the impact of our work and to lead, performance manage and motivate the regional HR teams primarily across East Africa to ensure that they are aligned to the global strategy and regionalisation plan.The job holder will be required to work autonomously with limited supervision and be able to provide leadership, capacity building, and strategic direction to the regional human resources teams and local HR Managers and oversee human resources matters within the region.S(H)e will be a key member of the regional leadership team and will take shared responsibility for the transformation of the region to a new operating model whilst delivery IRW’s strategy with the region. The Manager will act as a trusted partner of a Regional Director and their immediate team on all people related issues and meet the International Programmes Division standards. They will be accountable for the implementation of the Global HR strategy within the region and manage the delivery of a HR service that supports Country Directors and their teams.Reporting primarily to the Regional Director of East Africa with matrix link to the Head of HR in IRW/HQ IRW, the successful candidate should have a degree in a management or social science related field, preferably in HRM or Business Studies. A post graduate qualification will be an advantage.
