Job Description Our client Big Square is a stylish casual dining restaurant in Nairobi. They are looking for highly motivated and self – driven candidates to fill the following position:
Reporting to the Board of Big Square Ltd, the General Manager will have overall responsibility for the realization of corporate objectives of Big Square Ltd. This includes management of all aspects of the company, product development and facilities as well as general and administrative functions in order to achieve stated objectives, including plans for future growth. He/she is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. In addition, the General Manger will assume responsibility for the day – to – day operations of the company.Establish and maintain profitable operations in Kenya Enforce compliance in the Operations and Procedures, Business Systems, Brand Specifications, Terms and Conditions of Franchise Agreements, Supplier standards, Procurement, Menu Engineering, Point of Sale, Health, Safety and Hygiene Contributing to business marketing strategy and also establishing and managing brand equity Monitoring and comparing operational performance by counter and by market in terms of all critical outputs i.e. Customer Counts, Average Spend, Turnover, Gross Profit, Trading Profit, Major Product Unit Sales, Sales Mix and Product Costing Participating actively in the assessment of training needs of employees and implementation of Management Training Programs for the CompanyAttending Big Square Ltd board meetings and reporting on the status of the businessEstablishing, developing and managing Strategic Supplier Alliances and Fostering and developing franchisor/franchisee relationships Qualifications, Experience and KnowledgeDiploma/ Bachelors Degree in any relevant fieldA minimum of 3 years working experience in a management role.
