We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position ofFHI 360 is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Finance Manager for a USAID-funded regional Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) project in the Nairobi and Coast counties of Kenya. The project will work to improve the welfare and protection of children affected by HIV/AIDS by building the capacity of households to provide for children under their care and strengthening social services systems and structures at the county and community levels to improve care and support of OVC. The expected duration of the project is five years.The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial and administrative aspects of the project, including budget development and monitoring, prime award monitoring and compliance, subaward management, procurement, and logistics. The Finance Manager will establish and maintain sound financial management practices, and ensure the project's compliance with FHI 360 and USAID procedures, rules and regulations. The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya and will report to the Chief of Party or the Deputy Chief of Party. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval.Job Summary / Responsibilities:Provide leadership to finance and operations aspects of the project, including general administrative processes, financial management, subaward management, accounting, and logistics.Establish and maintain sound and transparent accounting and fiscal control procedures for financial, subaward and operations aspects of projectEnsure compliance of financial and operations systems with FHI 360 policies and procedures, USAID rules and regulation, award requirements, and Government of Kenya laws.Develop, analyze and monitor program budgets; monitor and track obligations and expenditures against budgetsManage project procurement processesOversee a team leading financial and grants management and administration for the project.Advise senior leadership regularly on financial and operations-related mattersProvide technical assistance, as needed, to local partners on financial compliance and reportingPrepare and submit annual and quarterly financial and accrual reports to USAIDContribute to the development of high-quality work plans, quarterly and annual reports, financial reports, and any other reports required by USAID.Liaise with internal and external auditors in the review of project financial managementSupervise other project-based administrative, finance, procurement, administrative and contract & grants staffPPerforms other duties as assigned.Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent - Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Related Field.Minimum of 5-8 years related work experience, including 3 years in management and 3 years working at the corporate or organization level.Past experience managing a financial analysis department is required.Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English; fluent in host country language as appropriate.Prior work in a non-governmental organization (NGO).Experience working with an international organization.This job description summarizes the main duties of the job.
