Retail Shop Manager Career in Nairobi




Our client, a leading global travel

retailer operating worldwide seeks to recruit a Retail Shop Manager in Kenya to

be in charge of their shops. 

The ideal candidate will be in charge

of the general management and the commercial activities of the shops, and

accountable for the retail standards to maximize profitable sales and manage

local relationships.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day operations of the shop

  • Inventory and stock taking

  • Ensuring that decisions and recommendations

    from Business Unit are applied in shops by regularly visiting point of

    sales.

  • Ensuring that shops are run in accordance with

    legal rules and technical specifications as safety regulations.


  • Ensuring that all staff and material are

    present in accordance with the activities requirements.

  • Following sales evolutions and analyzing

    figures to prepare weekly and monthly activity reports.

  • Correcting level of reporting from shops and

    implementation of processes.

  • Regularly control stocks situation and issue

    monthly shop count inventories

  • Dealing with customers in the shop

  • Manage the day to day operations of the shop

  • Ensuring that there is a positive and good

    work ethics in all shops. Identifying and implementing necessary trainings

    within the shops and review staff performance.

  • Promoting high standard of customer service

  • Bachelor degree in Business Management or

    related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience with 2

    years in a managerial position

  • Proven successful experience in store

    management

  • Powerful leading skills and business

    orientation

  • People and customer management skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
