Plan International has been working
in Kenya since 1982 on education, health, protection, livelihoods and WASH
issues.
Plan International is implementing
the USAID-funded Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (Nilinde) Project
in Nairobi and Coastal counties.
This project aims to improve the
welfare and protection of Orphans and Vulnerable Children affected by HIV/AIDS
in Kenya.
We are therefore seeking qualified applicants for the following positions for
the Nilinde Project:
Senior Accountant – Nairobi
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for
reviewing all transactions processed in the SAP to ensure that they are
accurate and comply with Plan procedures.
S/he will also be responsible for
preparing and managing budgets and ensuring availability of operations and
programme budgets in subsequent years and monitoring proper usage of the
same.
The incumbent will be required to
submit accurate consolidated financial reports on timely basis and offer
financial support to the Mombasa office to ensure that funds are available and
expenditures are bona-fide.
Learning and Knowledge Management Advisor
Reporting to the Monitoring and
Evaluation Advisor, s/he will be primarily responsible for providing Learning
and Knowledge Management (KM) assistance to the Nilinde project.
The incumbent will be required to
develop and implement Nilinde Learning and Knowledge Management plan while
support Monitoring & Evaluation and other project technical staff in
developing and implementing evaluation and operation research studies,
disseminating results and writing briefs, reports & peer-reviewed
publications.
S/he will also take the lead in the
implementation of the project’s learning agenda including the project’s
teaching technical working group (TWG).
