Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief officer for the following: –

• Handles mooring Ropes during ship docking and undocking


• Cleanse ship decks, hull, stores and rooms.


• Operates capstan/winches etc. during casting-off or berthing of the ships at all ports of call.


• Carries out safety/emergency maneuvers as directed/required.


• Works cargo and cargo gear at port of call.

Requirements

• Form four certificate


• STCW
