Gross Salary Scale: Kshs. 94,400 – 118,900 p.m.
Job Purpose:
- The job holder will be responsible for Implementing, installing, configuring, and maintaining databases in line with Judiciary requirements.
Reporting Responsibilities:
- The job holder is responsible to the ICT Officer I
- Area of Deployment: Directorate of ICT
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing continuous support of production database services to ensure highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, and performance required by Judiciary;
- Implementing, installing, configuring, and upgrading databases and applications in line with the Judiciary processes and policies;
- Providing first line technical support in resolution of database technical issues raised by users and log the same in the helpdesk;
- Developing business intelligence (BI) tools/solutions for business reports
- Developing a detailed documentation relating to Databases and Systems.
- Establishing, implementing, maintaining, and testing database back–up and recovery plans; and
- Ensuring adequate backup and recovery strategies and systems are in place and reviewed regularly.
Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: –
- A Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer Security and Forensics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Experience:
Knowledge/experience working with preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SAP HANA and MSSQL.

- A recognized Credit Reference Bureau
- Recommendation from the relevant Professional Body, as the case may be, as being in Good Standing
- Advocates Complaints Commission
- Law Society of Kenya
