Job Title: Sales Manager – Hospitality
Our client is an investor in the
hospitality industry dealing with hotels and luxurious holiday
apartments.
They are looking to fill the position
of a Sales Manager with a great track record in the hospitality industry to be
based in Nairobi.
- To effectively manage existing accounts in
addition to creating and developing relationships with potential accounts
in your designated area. - Compiling the Sales and Business Development
Plans - Understand the current market and alter sales
approach when necessary - To actively seek out new clients and to agree
best possible rate structures - To be familiar with outside factors that may
affect the hotels business including competitor rates and availability,
new businesses coming into market. - Assist with the organisation of events and
trade shows etc. - Develop sales strategies & rigorously
market the leisure section to realize optimum profits - Design a range of membership that meets the
needs and requirements of current and potential members, and in accordance
with facilities offered by the organization. - Clearly define the scope of services that
should be provided for each class of membership. - Recommend pricing policies for services
rendered to the membership, and in accordance with minimum profit levels
as set by the General Manager the set targets. - Bring to the attention of the General Manager,
services and facilities that do not meet with the expectations of the
membership.
Skills and Qualification Desired
- Degree holder preferably in hospitality
management or sales and marketing - Proven Account Management skills required in
order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships - Minimum 3 years of sales management experience
in hospitality industry - Extremely detail oriented
- Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a
skilled negotiator - High level of initiative and work well in a
team environment - Excellent written and oral communication
skills - Handles stressful situations and deadline
pressures well - Plans and carries out responsibilities with
minimal direction
