Managing Director – IT Software
Our client, a leading Information and Communication Service for agricultural markets in Africa is looking for a Managing Director.
He/she will be responsible for defining the strategy and managing the day-to-day operations in Kenya.
He/she will lead a team in growing, establishing strategic partnerships and overseeing sales and deployment services to a diverse set of clients including government agencies, NGOs, agribusinesses and mobile network operators.
Key Responsibilities;
- Define and lead Kenya’s strategy, processes, execution plan and KPIs.
- Articulate the company’s mission and vision to employees and clients.
- Create and manage annual budget and quarterly/monthly reporting.
- Manage day-to-day operations of company.
- Motivate, train and mentor staff members.
- Segment the market, define targets, develop a sales strategy.
- Create a marketing strategy to promote brand awareness/sales.
- Establish and manage partnerships with mobile operators.
- Oversee monitoring and evaluation programs to measure social impact.
- Attend local and international development conferences on mAgri.
- Demonstrate thought-leadership within the sector at an Intl level.
Qualification;
- Must have at least 10 years of professional experience.
- Must have background in agriculture or agri-business.
- Project management experience in development or agriculture.
- Entrepreneurial experience leading a business or tech venture.
- Be process driven – value KPIs, CRM, targets, reporting.
- Passionate about innovative technology.
- Be able to articulate client needs and help translate them into product design.
- Born networker and sales strategist.
- Be comfortable networking across sectors within society.
- Lead and motivate a world class team.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 500,000 – 600,000/= (Approx. 5,000 – 6,000 USD) depending on experience
