Job description The Business Unit Executive will assume responsibility for the East Africa Territory and lead the sales force to execute on the Software business strategy and revenue attainment. Outputs will include leading sales delivery through thought leadership; marketing efforts follow through; and utilising strong knowledge of sales execution within the IBM Software Segment environment. This will entail engagement in all aspects of the Sales Management activities by; driving strong systems housekeeping; revenue target achievement; optimal Resource Deployment; Effective Seller Performance Management; Decisiveness; Encouraging development as well as inspiring our people, whilst maintaining cultural sensitivity in a highly diverse environment. This role requires high integrity, strong IBM business controls understanding of Sales Processes and the individual will live and portray the IBM Values whilst; leading discussions with internal and external stakeholders for high growth in a developing market, and act as Key Note speaker as and when required. Engage C-Suite customers as and when required in all key industries.
Required * Bachelor’s Degree * At least 8 years experience in Sales Management and Leadership in IBM * At least 8 years experience in Growth Strategy Development and implementation * At least 8 years experience in People Management of Managers and their teams * At least 8 years experience in IBM Software Brands in Growth Market Territories * At least 8 years experience in demonstrable success of client wins and increase of market share * English: Fluent
Preferred * At least 10 years experience in Sales Management and Leadership in IBM * At least 10 years experience in Growth Strategy Development and implementation * At least 10 years experience in People Management of Managers and their teams * At least 10 years experience in IBM Software Brands in Growth Market Territories * At least 10 years experience in demonstrable success of client wins and increase of market share
