About The Position
We are looking for a Regional Product Manager “Agricultural Equipment” who will assume product responsibility within the region. This includes but not limited to dealing with principals of related equipment; up to supporting countries’ Sales & Application teams in building and offering suitable solutions to end customer in the Agricultural field. We are looking for a Regional Product Manager “Agricultural Equipment” who will assume product responsibility within the region. This includes but not limited to dealing with principals of related equipment; up to supporting countries’ Sales & Application teams in building and offering suitable solutions to end customer in the Agricultural field. Shall be responsible for the following duties:
- Creation and implementation of the Agri. business plan, in line with regional KPI’s.
- Meeting revenue targets through supporting local Sales & Application teams; and management of key Customers within the region (countries of operation).
- Assessment of competitor activities and conducting market research for the Segment (Agri. Business) to maintain market competitiveness.
- Exploring ways to promote the product range to all Customers within the segment (Agri. Business).
- Mentoring, motivating, training, evaluating and leading Sales & Application team members within the region to accomplish the goals and objectives of the segment (Agri. Business).
- Ensuring succession planning and talent identification within the segment (Agri. Business).
- Continuously improve and update personal knowledge with respect to Product development and technical innovation.
- Customers, business and trends within the Territory.
- Working with the Regional Management team with the objective of ensuring effective implementation of the regional FAMCO strategy, and by contributing to ensure FAMCO meets business commitments.
- Supporting the country sales teams in terms of product, application and sales of machines and aftermarket products.
- Provide feedback internally and to suppliers for continual improved approach to the Customer.
- Establish a strong direct relationship with suppliers with the objective of securing their technical and commercial support and focus in the territory.
- Proactive coverage of all customers in the territory and willingness to travel extensively in the territory as well as abroad to meet set objectives.
- Assist in setting business plans to introduce Agricultural Equipment in countries that FAMCO International intends to move into.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Technical Degree preferably Agricultural Engineering.
- Business qualification or relevant experience would be advantageous.
- 5 years + Agricultural Equipment (Sales, Application Engineering, or relevant field)
- 2 years + experience in Africa, East Africa, GCC or MENA Region
- An understanding of Agricultural field and relevant equipment.
- Financial planning and sales management of machinery and aftermarket products is desirable. Previous experience in conducting product/application training is desirable.
