Instructors – Maritime Courses


Ref: HRR/ADM 052


Reporting to the H.O.D Marine Engineering. 


Shall be responsible for planning, developing and evaluating relevant usable teaching materials.


Planning, designing and evaluating curricula in the specific area of specialization.Duties and Responsibilities:


Qualifications:


Appointment to the position will be made from persons who:


  • Must be accredited by KMA

  • Must be a holder of certificate of completion of instructors training course (IMO model course 6.09) or equivalent teacher education on teaching methodologies, test and measurement

  • Must be a holder of certificate of proficiency in PSCRB

  • Must be a holder of a certificate of proficiency in Advanced fire fighting

  • A certified fire fighter with not less than one (1) year experience obtained at a recognized organization

  • Must be a holder of certificate of competency of a navigational or Engineering watch and

  • Must be a holder of certificate of proficiency in PSCRB and

  • Must be holder of COP in PFRB and

  • Must be a holder of a COP in AFF

  • Must be a holder of a COC at the management level and

  • Must have not less than two (2) years seagoing service in the various competency skills

Marine Consultant Lecturers

(3 Yrs Contract)


Reporting to the H.O.D Marine Engineering. 


Shall be responsible for planning, developing and evaluating relevant usable teaching materials. 


Planning, designing and evaluating curricula in the specific area of specialization.Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Teaching using various methodologies such as group discussions and demonstrations in the area of specialization.

  • Planning, developing and evaluating relevant and usable teaching materials.

  • Identifying the problems which impede the organization development and conducting research with a view to coming up with feasible solutions via training.

  • Planning, designing and evaluating curricula in the specific area of specialization

Qualifications:


Appointment to the position will be made from persons who:

  • Must have served at a firs engineer

  • Must be a holder of certificate of proficiency in PSCRB

  • Must be a holder of a certificate of proficiency in Advanced fire fighting

  • A certified fire fighter with not less than one (1) year experience obtained at a recognized organization

  • Must be a holder of certificate of competency of a navigational or Engineering watch and

  • Must be a holder of certificate of proficiency in PSCRB and

  • Must be holder of COP in PFRB and

  • Must be a holder of a COP in AFF

  • Must be a holder of a COC at the management level and

  • Must have not less than two (2) years seagoing service in the various competency skills

Terms of Offer: An attractive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and responsibilities of the position will be negotiated with the right candidate.
