Accountant/ Office Manager at Summit Recruitment and Search

Key Requirements:



  • Manage the office in Nairobi and make sure that all employees can focus on delivering their best work

  • Make sure that the company always has up-to-date financial, operational and HR reports, which includes accounting/bookkeeping responsibility

  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including contracting, work permits, orientation period, etc.

  • Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease

  • Develop, update and maintain office policies as necessary

  • Support staff and management with preparing various documents and client contracts, building client presentations, answering phone calls, be responsible for scheduling various meetings and manage the meeting room schedule

  • Help prepare for international travel (booking flights, hotels and applying for visa)

  • Keep an impeccable office admin


Qualifications



  • At least five years of experience as an Office Manager, Office Administrator, Accountant or similar position

  • Accounting experience, including data-entry and creating basic financial reports

  • HR experienceand a good understanding of Kenya’s labor laws and regulations

  • Experience having worked with accounting and/or ERP systems. Experience with Odoo is a big plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office management tools such as Teams and Zoom

  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to multi-task and prioritize your work

  • Keen attention to detail in combination with great problem-solving skills

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment

  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements

  • Sense of humor and are a real team player

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Proficient in English (written and verbally)
