Job Description Our client, a leading insurance company is seeking to recruit Business Development Officers in Kisumu and  Eldoret respectively.

Responsibilities

Establish and build new relationships with existing and potential producers that have prospective business that meets the companies underwriting criteriaMaintain existing relationships in order to protect existing books of businessDevelop an in depth understanding of your company’s productsCo-ordinate any marketing campaigns to prospectsProvide feedback to the underwriting department to ensure quality service and underwriting standards are maintainedAssist brokers with product and business queriesAssist in general department matters when requiredDemonstrate business planning skills to achieve visitation & sales targets

Qualifications

Knowledge of the Insurance industry (desirable) and good business producersAt least 2-3 years experienceRelevant degree/diplomaBusiness development and marketing skillsExcellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Written and oral communicationNegotiation skillsA driven sales approach that ensures targets are metDemonstrated commercial acumen and strong understanding of business requirementsExcellent analytical skillsComputer literate i.e. Microsoft Office & Microsoft Excel
