Credit Controller
Reporting to:- Managing Director / Finance Manager
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance, or equivalent
Location:- Nairobi, Kenya
Job Description
- Proactively manage debt collection.
- Set up and manage a credit control policy system.
- Liaise and communicate with internal departments as required in order to maintain an accurate position on customer accounts.
- Undertake account reconciliation for customers.
- Conduct customer visits from time to time to enhance customer care.
- Agree payment terms with customer and ensure they are adhered to.
- Resolution of querries to facilitate payments from customers.
- Send out client statements as may be agreed.
- Prioritise and manage work whilstil maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Prepare weekly reports on the credit control.
- Keep the partnership up-to-date with new credit management techniques and practices.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Skills & Competence
- 2+ year relevant experience and a proven track record in debt collection.
- Excellent communication skills on all levels
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Sound numerical skills
- Sense of urgency and ability to work in fast paced office environment
- Deadline focused with ability to prioritise tasks
- Flexible and multi-tasking ability to produce results
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems especially MS Excel.
- Has ability to identify drivers of an issue and apply creative thinking in identifying and resolving opportunities.
