Our partner is a UK government funded development programme that brings together young people to make a difference in some of the poorest communities in the world.As part of a change in the organisational strategy, it is looking to invest in and build the capacity of agricultural enterprises in Kenya and Tanzania. It started off investing in a maize growing enterprise in Kenya last year. Our partner is in the process of up-scaling this (increasing the size of the warehouse, and the quantity of bags that can be purchased) and has recently invested in 3 other businesses (1 in Kenya, 2 in Tanzania).Our partner is seeking a finance volunteer to ensure that proper accounting processes and controls are in place; ideally the volunteer will be a management accountant with some commercial experience.
