Technical Manager Job in Kenya

Our client would like to engage suitable talent to join their vibrant team, as a Technical Manager.

Main Responsibilities 

Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities / department. Ensure the team performs within set technical guidelines by providing or co-authoring standard operating procedures. Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment hand in hand with technical supervisor. Manage a portfolio of projects on the basis of initial and ongoing direction.Being involved and providing input in the development of project proposals for the relevant proactive work, and where relevant, providing ideas for the development of the due process projects Raising major issues, sharing concerns, and reporting back on a project progress to the relevant project manager on a regular basis Meet with senior management regularly and give monthly reports, which include his team's performance. Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications. Assist in Continuous Improvement of safety and performanceGood technical and management skills including problem solving and decision making Focused & result oriented Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills & organisation skills Technical skills added advantageAcademic Qualifications & Experience A relevant university degree (or equivalent) in an engineering related subject 3 years experience in management positionOnly qualifying candidates to apply to Business Partner Consulting - (BPC Africa)
