BeautyClick Category Managers (Hair and Cosmetics) Jobs in Kenya

BeautyClick Kenya is looking for one or two Category Managers – Hair and Cosmetics.
 

What is BeautyClick Kenya: BeautyClick is the biggest eCommerce player in the East African beauty-industry providing a new offering with high quality products to the Kenyan market. 

As a category manager you will be working with a mix of private label and top-international brands (e.g. Nouba, Revlon, JBS, Janet Collection, etc.).
 

 

Responsibilities

• Building the most attractive assortment of products (together with buying team)


• Increasing the gross margin by being responsible for pricing and marketing campaigns within the category (across online and direct marketing channels)


• Stock monitoring within the category to understand what needs to be pushed and reordered


• Creating campaigns and deciding through which marketing channel to push, execution done by marketing


• Identify and promote the bestsellers that will strengthen our target towards increasing profitability and having the leading beauty platform


• Product descriptions & listing/upload


• Inputs on Copy writing (email campaigns)


• Affiliate management


• Analytics on performance of the category and developing business insights through regular reporting and analysis


• Developing industry knowledge and consumer trends of the category, and an understanding of competitive positioning, BeautyClicks’ value proposition for the category


• Building relationships around niche interest groups and initiating participation in events related to the category


• Etc.

Qualification and Experience

• Graduate


• Excellent written English


• Experience in category management either from eCommerce or retail preferable within Hair or Cosmetics


• Good understanding of the beauty-industry trends (Hair & Cosmetics)


• Experience in marketing is desirable


• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large data sets to make strategic decisions


• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel


• Very innovative with a strong ability to go further than the expectations
