Call for Application: Project Support Officer – Nyeri
PeaceNet Kenya is a networking and partnership building organization committed to sustaining a broad based coalition of peace workers in Kenya.
We seek to support and consolidate inclusive peace building initiatives across the country.
We therefore provide leadership in the development of peace-building structures by offering linkages between peace building organizations and communities.
We actively engage grassroots structures in order to foster peace at both local and national levels.
To facilitate the smooth running of a Conflict Transformation program currently under development, PeaceNet seeks to recruit a competent and dynamic Project Support Officer who will be stationed in our regional office in Nyeri to offer support to our regional team in project implementation.
Terms of Reference
The Project Support Officer, to be based in Nyeri, will be expected to fulfill the following roles:
- Work closely with the International Peace building Adviser in setting up structures, project work and any other related activities.
- Establish linkages with local structures in the region
- Support to design and develop workable products in the region
- Enhance capacity building for the local partners
- Strengthen local capacities on how to integrate trainings on the ground
Minimum Qualifications
The office holder should have the following qualifications.
- University degree in social sciences or equivalent
- At least 1 year work experience
- Familiarity with peace building and conflict management issues in Kenya will be an added advantage
The Project Support Staff must be from Central Kenya Region and will be answerable to the Secretariat in Nairobi
