covering all aspects of the vehicle. The role will require a close working relationship with the Senior Integration Manager, Product Development Quality Engineer, Supply Chain team, manufacturing as well as various vendors. Specific Duties Include:
Responsible for the homologation of all applicable policies, standards, and regulations related vehicle models.Support the development and maintenance of the internal policies related to the application, implementation, enforcement and audit of all policies, standards and regulations.Work with external agencies and government regulatory authorities to ensure compliance of products in the respective markets where the products will be sold.Plan and ensure the execution of homologation test and approval projects for the complete for the models.Prepare, review and submit type regulatory approval documents and drawings to applicable regulatory bodies.Advise the Product Development teams on current and future legislative matters relating to automotive design, manufacture and functionality for respective target markets.Agree on vehicle certification requirements with government regulatory bodies.Monitor and report on all applicable legislation changes in target operating markets for the vehicle.Support the Product Development Teams to ensure robust and consistent application of regulatory guidelines into new designs.Lead the Product Development teams to resolve regulatory design issues.Support the development with the test engineers, the appropriate verification and validation.Monitor ongoing adherence of overall vehicle functionality to required regulatory requirements through the design process.Regularly report to stakeholder’s non-conforming regulatory issues, corrective action plans and timeframe for closure.Work flexibly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving designers, engineers as well as future manufacturing and product development teams.Take ownership of regulatory projects and issues; plan milestones, timelines, budgets, resources and identify potential risks to deliver resolution within agreed completion dates Be proactive regarding regulatory issue identification and periodically advise wider team on status, risks and required activities to progress forward.Work as an active member of the team, ensure effective communication between colleagues and positively contribute regularly to meetings and briefings.The ideal candidate should combine excellent regulatory management and awareness skills with appropriate technical skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and external agencies and regulatory bodies.
