1. Electro-Mechanical Technician
The incumbent will be tasked with a major responsibility of ensuring minimal or no breakdowns in plant equipment, equipment utilisation is optimal and supporting factory development works through automation and semi automation activities
Roles and Responsibilities
Handle in a timely and structured manner pneumatics and automation requirements interfacing between mechanical and electrical/electronic partsResolve factory breakdowns in a structured manner ensuring that recurrence is completely eliminatedReview parts requirement for electrical-mechanical parts and liaise with the engineering store- keeper to ensure adequate and vital parts are available in the right quantity and quality whenever neededParticipate in M&E upgrade and conversion works to improve output and capacityTrain operators on Dos and Don’ts related to machineryCarry out machine changeovers as necessaryOversee equipment start up and shutdown to ensure that operators do not encounter simple technical hitchesImplement planned maintenance plans on equipmentAssist machine operators in machine inspection during cleaning while ensuring that lubrication is performed appropriately and as per lubrication schedule Participate in energy conservation measures and activitiesParticipate in allocated projects and Capex worksDeputise the electrical technician in all areas of jurisdiction and take full accountability of this position deliverables and KPIs whenever required Diploma in Electo- Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution4 years experience in pneumatics, automation and electro mechanical works especially in a liquids bottle company, canning and other related foods factories.Ability to troubleshoot and correct machine related problems in record timeAbility to prioritise a heavy workload and delivery in time with no supervision Job Purpose: To ensure minimal or no breakdowns in plant equipment mainly seamers and fillers, and ensuring timely machine changeovers and training of operators to enhance productivityDuties & Responsibilities
Ensure all seamers in the factory are maintained correctly , fault diagnosed correctly and in time, spares allocation done appropriately, standards maintained as per handbooks and manuals and all users trained accordingly on how to operate , report faults and do basic maintenanceFacilitate Right First Time approach in all seaming and filling machinery to enhance productivity and higher yields by ensuring changeovers and machine adjustments are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.Ensure daily and routine maintenance is conducted in all other allocated lines and /or machines Resolve factory breakdowns in a structured manner ensuring that recurrence is completely eliminatedTrain operators on Dos and Don’ts related to machineryKeep accurate logs of machinery failures, alterations and/ or changeovers to fast track effects of changes to machinery and equipmentOversee equipment start up and shutdown to ensure that operators do not encounter simple technical hitches that can delay production or cause quality failureAssist machine operators in machine inspection during cleaning while ensuring that lubrication is performed appropriately and as per lubrication schedule Work with the maintenance team leader in ensuring that spare parts are documented and new ones ordered on need basisParticipate in allocated projects worksParticipation in energy reduction measures and activities and other improvement worksDiploma in Mechanical Engineering7 yrs Experience working with seamers, liquid fillers , powder machines3. Process EngineerPurpose the Job: To ensure an optimised production process that integrates the phases of production needs, capacity utilisation, quality and safety requirements matched with a cost effective maintenance methodology
