Job Title: Human Resource Manager
 Reports to: Group Chief Executive Officer
 Duty Station: Monarch Group (Chester House, Nairobi)
 Key Task: To manage the human resources function of the Group in a manner that ensures there is a working environment and a skilled and motivated workforce that facilitates the achievement of business objectives and that the Group is in compliance with employment legislature.
 Develop and implement a HR strategy based on the overall Group strategy to ensure that business needs are metDevelop a HR budget based on the strategy and effectively manage it to ensure cost management goals are achievedDevelop and implement HR management policies and procedures and monitor all HR activities and practices to ensure compliance.Manage the recruitment process in a manner that ensures that right calibre of employees is hired and that new employees receive proper instructions regarding their duties and terms of employment.Co-ordinate the performance management process and all related functions including staff appraisal, training planning and implementation and incentive schemes.Put in place and regularly review and update succession plans that ensure the continuous availability of internal candidates, to fill vacancies within the supervisory and management gradesManage industrial relations matters and offer training, advice and general guidance to managers and supervisors on labour laws and related market practices so as to ensure a harmonious work environment.Oversee and coordinate all HR activities including the welfare and disciplinary matters across the group.Handle staff grievances in a prompt, conscientious manner while paying heed to the company’s business needs and policies.Train managers and supervisors on basic staff management and disciplinary skills and provide counselling support to staff as needed.Continually review and update the terms and conditions of service of employees to ensure that the Group remains within common market practice and communicate to the staff appropriately.Continually review pay and reward systems that are in place within the company so as to ensure that these remain competitive and affordable.Degree in HR Management or the equivalentDiploma in human resources management7 years experience in human resource management (2 of which should be at a senior level)Member of a professional bodyPerformance management and monitoring skillsKnowledge of labour lawsStrong communication skillsStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsCounselling skillsStrong employee relations skillsEffective listening skillsTraining planning/ management skillsStrong leadership skillsAn innovative problem solverComputer literateExperience of human resources systems developmentEmail Your Application and CV to: jobsatmonarchgroup@gmail.com
