Position: Human Resource Officer
 



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select best applicants ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.

  • Staff induction and ensuring the induction form is filled in by new staffs appropriately.

  • Employee development and Training, Liaise with head of departments during training

  • Staff appraisal, Performance monitoring and documentation for all staff.

  • Issuance of employee contracts and renewal of probation and annual contracts.

  • Handling all NHIF, NSSF, PAYE

  • Implementing of  Human Resource Policy manuals and Procedures

  • Staff attendance monitoring, follow up and reporting on absentees. 

  • Overseeing shift change over supervision.

  • Creating and monitoring shift and leave schedules for employees.

  • Conducting exit interviews

  • Offering various HR services including advice, counseling, mentoring and coaching.

  • Administering safety and recreation programs.

  • Drafting correspondences relevant to the Human Resource Department

  • Administering safety and recreation programs.

  • Personnel Filing and record keeping.


Qualifications


  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent

  • One year HR experience preferably in Manufacturing Industry

  • Good oral and written communications skills

  • Familiarity with Kenya labor laws
