Hospital Engineer- Electrical Jobs at Rose Avenue, Kenya

The successful candidate will be an effective leader with the ability to provide strategic leadership to a diverse set of functions that are integral to the hospital meeting its mandate.
Reporting to the Head of Support Services, the successful candidate will be Supervising and co coordinating theelectrical engineering operations to guarantee best care of patients. The engineer will regularly meet with the Technical & Facilities Manager, Maintenance Manager, Head Chef, Laundry Manager, Outsourced Services Officer and Housekeeper to review hospital conditions and co- ordinate cost effective and time effective solutions.
Hospital Engineer Job Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the division’s annual and long term business plans.
- Oversee the smooth running of day-to-day activities of the various departments through the departmental heads to ensure that they are running at optimum level.
- Drive and manage performance targets for all the departments in the Division.
- Ensure that the bio-medical, engineering, plant and civil works functions are proactively and effectively run and maintained.
- Ensure all machines are in a working condition
- Define and implement service level agreements for outsourced services.
- Ensure all machines meet safety standards.
- Provide leadership on staff matters in the division.
- Participate in preparing, managing and controlling the operational budget.
- Advice the board on all matters relating to the department.
- Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of support Services
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- At least 12 years’ experience,6 of which should be at executive level.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multiple teams simultaneously.
- Project management skills
- Results oriented.
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills for Hospital Engineer Kenyan Jobs
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or any related discipline.
- Six years progressive work experience in a busy service environment.
- Demonstrable leadership skills.
- Results oriented.
- Customer focused.
- Proven track record in project management.
- Computer literate.
