Petroleum Company Retail Sales Executive Job in Kenya - 2015

client is a petroleum company with the aim of providing energy solutions

to the East African Community. Its aim and sole purpose has been

provision of energy solutions to an advancing energy sector in the

region. 



The company has spread its wings to various

destinations in East and Central Africa, playing a leading role in the

regions bulk oil supplies.




Their retail outlets, present in

all major towns in Kenya, and modern terminals in Nairobi and Mombasa,

have presented the best platform to display their vibrant brand and

provide world class service to their customers.  



They are seeking to recruit highly competent and self driven candidates to fill the following position:
 



Retail Sales Executive



1 Position


Position Purpose: Sale of POG Business Lines to the Oil & Gas Industry shall be the main focus of this assignment for all applications.


  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

  • Manage existing business in line with company regulations.

  • Accurate record keeping and provision of timely reports

  • Management of market intelligence.

  • Logistics pipeline management of fuel, lpg and lubricants

  • Distribution & dealer network management

  • Retail site supervision (fore-court ehs, pump maintenance, engineering, branding)

  • Price surveys & price changes cascades

  • Retail sites requisitions (uniforms, repairs)

  • Merchandising (plannogramming of LPG & Lubricant products)

  • Training of Distributors & retail site personnel (lpg handling, lubricants classification,

  • customer service, inventory & offloading procedures management)

  • Management of marketing campaigns

  • Account receivables management

  • Credit control & TOT management & enforcement of product delivered

  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.

  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives.

  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

  • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing,

  • and evaluating developing field sales action plans.


Required Qualifications and Background
 



Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing.

  • Basic accounting knowledge

  • Sales & Marketing skills

  • High proficiency in computer skills

  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams

  • Results oriented – a proven “self-starter”

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate high levels of Integrity and honesty

  • 4 to 5 Years of experience in to direct sales preferably in the petroleum industry.

  • Willing to travel widely and be posted to any location in the country
