Bancassurance Officers
Job Summary
The role holders will be responsible for the development and execution of sales and marketing programs in line with the Bancassurance strategy as well as generation of business from the Bank’s existing Corporate, Asset Finance and Personal banking portfolios.
Main DutiesThe key responsibilities will among others include:
Prospecting and marketing various insurance products to prospective clientsPreparation of quotations, negotiating terms for customers and closing salesAdvising customers on the adequacy of cover requested for in relation to policies availableOversee the operational aspects of Bancassurance business at the branch i.e. underwriting, claims, finance and customer serviceEnsuring all collaterals and assets that have has an Bank interest are properly and comprehensively insured and the Bank’s interest properly notedEnsuring that Bank, customers and staff insurable assets insured under the branch are renewed on time and premium is paid upMarket research/customer feedback to our head office Bancassurance team for the development of new products and enhancement of existing ones to suite the various market segmentsAdherence to the set Bancassurance policies and proceduresTraining of customers and branch staff on insurance translating to business conversionEnsuring that all queries on technical insurance issues from customers and branch staff are addressed promptly while providing technical guidancePreparation of relevant production and financial reportsJob Specification
The incumbent will be required to possess the following qualifications and attributes/skills:
University Degree, preferably in a business fieldKnowledge of the basic principles and practices of bancassuranceStrong business acumen, strategic thinking capacity and strong analytical and presentation skillsAbility to work effectively in a diversified set up and in a highly collaborative team environmentProven ability to respond quickly, independently and appropriately to competing priorities under tight deadlines, excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and advocacy skillsKnowledgeable in compiling data and preparing a variety of reports using computer applications in a proficient mannerAbility to verify the accuracy of documents and information presentedInterested candidates meeting the above criteria should forward an application enclosing detailed Curriculum vitae accompanied by copies of certificates and indicating the current remuneration to the address shown here below by 18th October 2013.NB: Only short listed candidates will be contacted.
