Tyre Technician Job, Engineering Kenya Jobs 2022,
Our client in the automotive industry is looking to recruit a technician for an auto service centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive industry and must have worked in a service centre and has experience in wheel alignment and balancing.
Responsibilities
- Wheel balancing and wheel alignment
- Tyre change
- General vehicle service
- Able to diagnose cars and advice a client
- Any other duty that may be assigned.
- Accurate vehicle mechanical diagnosis as per customer needs
- Generate timely and accurate technical, defect & repair reports
- Adherence to use of PPE for your safety & the environment
- Road test and certify proper completion of repairs where necessary
- Ensure cleanliness of tools, trays Equipment & the working bay
- Tools Management: defective tools review for repairs/replacement with the service team leader
- Keep up to date with product range & technical know how
Qualifications
- Diploma in automotive or mechanical engineering
- 1 year minimum experience
- Supervisory level experience is desirable
- Proficient in English and Kiswahili language
- Able to use a diagnostic machine
- Disciplined and with a can do attitude
- Experience of communicating at all levels up to and including senior management
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas
- Organizational and planning skills
- Personal commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work without supervision
- Honesty and Integrity as a value
