Role Profile: Delegates Driver
Important: Experience of driving an armored vehicle is a requirement.
Overall purpose :
Under the authority of the Head of Administration (HoA), provide official transport service to Delegation Staff when needed as well as to visiting EU staff, within Nairobi area and up-country missions.
Responsibilities
- Transport of Delegation Staff and EU visitors to and from official meetings, the airport and during official missions upcountry.
- Maintenance and cleaning of official vehicles.
- Delivery of mail to/from local authorities, Embassies and other contacts
- Other logistics support: moving of boxes, files or office equipment
- Any other duties assigned by the HoA or the Head of Delegation
Education and training
- Basic Education
- Certificate in Driving
- Driving licence
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in transport service, of which 2 years for an international organisation / diplomatic missions.
- Excellent knowledge of Nairobi and the country
- Service minded
- Ability to deal with foreign visitors
- Mechanical flair
SKILLS
- Excellent knowledge of English (working knowledge)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent ability to deal helpfully and courteously with people
- Open flexible personality
- Team Player
- A high degree of integrity and the ability to deal with confidential information
