Will be an aggressive and ambitious business development professional who consistently exceeds targets and sets the agenda in his or her sector.
Location: To be based in Mombasa Kenya with regional travel.
Reporting: S/he will report to the National BDM. The successful candidate will be a key player in a dynamic, high performing team focused obsessively on the sales process.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
- Collaborating with senior executives to establish and execute a sales goal for the region
- Managing a sales team in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set goals
- Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals
- Achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Identify and generate leads through market research, networking, events, and business associations.
- Activate the leads generated.
- Identify new market segments and opportunities;
- Work with the BDM & MD to develop new products to meet the needs of these segments.
- Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, contacting, nurturing and closing deals.
- Work closely with the rest of the Business Development team to develop and improve on best practices & processes.
- Any other role as assigned by BDM
Qualifications for the Business Development Manager Job
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Undergraduate degree from an accredited university and equivalent experience.
- 7 years’ experience with 4+ years business development experience,
- Documented success managing a full sales cycle.
- Experience writing business documents such as proposals and training presentations.
