A leading Mission Hospital in Muranga County is seeking trecruit a Nurse Manager on a 3 years’ renewable contract. The post holder will play a leadership and managerial role.
Nurse Manager Job Responsibilities.
- Provide leadership for all nursing staff.
- Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure key performance indicators (KPI) are achieved against set targets.
- Build effective controls for the monitoring and management of medical records.
- Lead the Unit in complying with all statutory and quality standards.
- Routinely monitor staff performance according ttheir job description and provide written feedback in a timely manner.
- Manage leave and duty rosters of staff working in the hospital tensure adequate coverage of the hospital, including nights and weekends.
- Handle all disciplinary issues as they arise with support of the HMT.
- Participate in the recruitment process of all nursing positions, including participating in the interview process
- Ensure all hospital activities run smoothly and services are provided timely and efficiently
- Ensure quality of care is given tall patients accessing the hospital
- Ensure universal precautions and infection prevention guidelines are followed in service provision
- Ensure all hospital departments have written Standard Operating Procedures that guide the day tday activities
- Ensure that all HIS statistical reports are accurate and submitted on a weekly basis
- Carry out other relevant duties as may be required or assigned by management.
Qualifications for the Nurse Manager Job
- A born again Christian
- and Kenyan citizen with at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant field
- A Diploma or degree in Nursing.
- Applicants must be in possession of a valid License from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Applicants will alsbe required tproduce certificates of good conduct and clearance from the EACC.
