Job Title: Air Conditioning Highly Skilled Technicians
Overview of a Highly Skilled Technician: An air conditioning technician’s primary role revolves around servicing air conditioning units, diagnosing air conditioning units for faults and repairing them and installation of air conditioners.
However, the manner in which you service, install and repair are also important since it is possible to service a unit well and also service them poorly.
Similarly it is possible to wrongly diagnose a faulty unit and replace unnecessary parts.
Both scenarios of doing it well and doing it poorly can be called ‘servicing’ or ‘repair’ respectively but one of them is correct and one of them is poor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install air conditioners to a professional standard.
- Diagnosing faults and repairing them to a professional standard.
- Service units to a high standard.
- Train your team members whom you feel need improvement and learn from those whose skills in certain areas may exceed yours.
- Technical ability is not everything. Your attitude towards your team members, other employees in the organization and the company’s customers is just as important. We have seen too many highly capable technicians with a poor attitude. They have failed to reach anywhere with this attitude.
- Don’t stop learning. You may thing you know a lot, but in truth you have a long way to go. We know this. We have travelled the world and seen many air conditioning technicians all around the world. You have a lot to learn – be open to learning.
Qualification and Abilities
- A minimum experience of 2 years in working as a senior technician.
- Experience in installing and repairing centralized systems will be advantageous to your application.
- A diploma in Refrigeration / Air Conditioning will help your application.
- A positive attitude.
