Our client in the manufacturing industry would like to hire a Maintenance Technician to help in managing their plant operations
Key Responsibilities
- Metal Fabrication, General fitting and General mechanical works
- Thermal dynamics, compressed air systems
- Proactive, innovative and able to initiate action
- Record all repairs undertaken in the allocated plant and equipment and any spare parts used.
- Maintain plant, equipment and property to the appropriate specifications within budget. This includes annual general maintenance as directed by the factory engineer and company house/s.
- At alternating dates with other technicians, will be expected to maintain the steam boiler daily maintenance program
- Carrying out preventive maintenance on all plant and equipment as allocated by the factory engineer.
Key Competencies
Demonstrate Hands On Skills with minimum supervision in the following fields of Mechanical Engineering:
- Plant maintenance
- Thermal dynamics, compressed air systems
- Team player
- Proactive, innovative and able to initiate action
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma in mechanical engineering from recognized institution
- 3 years minimum experience preferably in a busy manufacturing environment
